The name of the brand comes from its founder, Giovanni Panzani, who changed his name to Jean Panzani, who was born in France of Italian parents. He created the brand in 1950 and introduced the French to the pleasures of pasta. Since then, we’ve been continuing our work as a semolina and pasta manufacturer in France with the same dedication and enthusiasm.
Panzani pasta is made in France with 100% French durum wheat* .

This durum wheat is harvested close to the processing sites:
– The semolina mill at Genevilliers and the pasta factory at Nanterre are located in the northern half of France.
– The semolina mills and pasta factory in Marseille are located in the southern half of France.
So, the durum wheat comes from 50,000 hectares of fields located from 50 to a maximum of 400km from our mills.
Panzani contributes to the transition of the durum wheat sector to sustainable agriculture through the Blé Responsable Français programme.
To secure the future of the French durum wheat sector, Panzani has introduced multi-year contracts and premiums to reward good practice.
Panzani has 2 pasta production sites in France, in Nanterre and Marseille.
Panzani’s objective is to achieve 100% recyclable packaging by 2025.
The company is also actively seeking alternative solutions, such as loose and re-use.
